Hundreds of local residents are involved in every stage of the process, from growing and harvesting long-staple cotton to spinning the cotton into yarn to weaving and dying the yarn into workable material. That material is then sewn by skilled workers operating in regionally owned manufacturing facilities into fine garments of rugged and lasting beauty. Even the packaging, labels and boxes are made from tree pulp cultivated on nearby land.
