Hippo Skin Belt is handcrafted in Africa from genuine hippopotamus leather. The hides are specifically chosen for their strength and natural beauty, and the completely natural coloration and pattern variations result in a belt that is truly unique and one-of-a-kind.
Fully adjustable for easy exchange of the buckle or for exact sizing to your specific waist measurement without the need for special tools. Measured from where the leather ends at the buckle to the middle hole at the tip, we recommend that you purchase your belt one size larger than your actual pants waist size in order to allow for material. Note that the buckle may vary from the one pictured.

Our factories use skins that are purchased from importers legally licensed through the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species Treaty (CITES). We will not, under any circumstances, be party to trafficking in illegally obtained hides or other related materials.
Due to Fish & Wildlife Department restrictions, we cannot ship game skin leather products outside of the Continental United States. No exceptions.
Fabric & Care
We use handpicked long staple cotton from Africa. Characteristics include high tensile strength with natural slubs. The pigment-dyed and pre-washed made to fade process ensures uniqueness and no two products will have exactly the same color. Our game skins with their natural tick marks and scratches add character and are sourced from conservation programs, game farms and licensed hunts. We support the efforts of the CAMPFIRE Program in Zimbabwe.
Fit & Sizing
All measurements are in inches. It may be hard to know your fit because sizes vary by brand and manufacturer and can vary dramatically by Brand and Manufacturer. Shipping & Returns
We do not want you to have any products you are not satisfied with. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, please request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) by logging on to your account at www.tagsafari.com and using your e-mail and password you selected when making the purchase or simply call us and we will issue the RMA. We will refund the purchase price of the items you return, after they are received in our warehouse. Clothing must be unused, unworn, have original tags and packaging to receive a refund. COST OF SHIPPING IS NON-REFUNDABLE. A 10% re-stocking fee may apply for all orders returned after 30 days.

Wasn't sure what to expect but I liked the look online. Great quality leather. Buckle is sized perfectly and looks great. Length of belt is exactly what I ordered and I am in the middle of its adjustment zone. Overall very happy. For those who never touched a hippo before (like myself) the leather is the perfect mix of rigidity and softness. Firm enough to use as a gun belt yet very comfortable for daily use.
