- The size you select is dependent upon your ankle thickness, and whether you choose to wear the gaiters over socks with shorts or over pant legs.
- Measure your ankle circumference with socks only, approximately 8" off the floor.
- Measure your ankle circumference with socks and trousers, approximately 8" off the floor.
- Best fit is not too tight and not too loose.
- Small: Ankle diameter of 8" with socks, stretching up to 12" over pants leg.
- Medium: Ankle diameter of 9" with socks, stretching up to 13" over pants leg.
- Large: Ankle diameter of 10" with socks, stretching up to 14" over pants leg.
- These gaiters have elastic tops. The idea is to have them fit comfortably without being too tight. If in doubt, go with a slightly loose fit.

I used my gaiters many times during a ten-day hunt in Namibia, Africa. Some of the time when I needed to walk, the brush wasn't thick enough to require the gaiters. However, several times a day the brush was covered with low, thorny bushes, and I was ever so glad I had them. (I wore them more often than my husband wore his, thus proving that either (1) I am a wimp, or (2) I am smarter than he.)

I was exposed to the Canvas Gaiters by a Professional Hunter. My wife gave me a pair for Christmas. They are now an essential part of my hunting/hiking wardrobe. I have purchased for family members and friends. Easy to put on, totally effective at keeping 'stuff' from entering my shoes/boots.
